Blogging Your Way to Success

The simplest and easiest way to get a presence on the web is to start a blog (and it’s free!). You are here reading a blog from blogger.com. Blogger.com is owned by Google, so you know it will (1) be around, (2) be high quality and (3) have high reliability. Go to http://www.blogger.com/ to create a blog. It’s very easy and you get a professional-looking blog in only a few minutes. You will need a Google account, but you can create that in a few minutes if you don’t already have one.

Blogs can be used for many purposes. Our family has a private blog that only we can access. We post items that enhance family communication, education and discovery. Its fun and entertaining.

Once you have your blog, check your settings and make sure that items like “send pings” are set “on” so services that notify individuals and services that a post has been made.

In order to get net recognition, you need to put good content on your blog. That is what I am trying to do now.

Once you have a blog with good context, consider signing up for a Google AdSense account. As the Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant, unobtrusive Google ads on their web site’s content pages and earn money.
